The Bronze Bow

It took me a while to get into this one; so don't give up like I almost did. This is the story of a young man named Daniel bar Jamin and how he swears to spend his life to fighting the Romans out of Israel. Then his grandmother dies and he has to take care of his daemon-possessed sister. But then he meets Jesus. By the end of the story you see how a warrior can trade his life for peace. Some people might be surprised that this really is a fun and interesting novel to read.

  1. I noticed that this blog entry was the third one this week, so I laughed at your opening phrase.

Of course Grandma knew that you read several books at a time, so it made sense that your might have blogged about several near the same time and maybe even finished reading several near the same time.

I read a novel about Marie Antoinette this week. We also saw an episode of "Ace of Cakes" which was about the week that a crew was taking pictures for a new book being published about Duff and his merry band. One of the cake decorators is a little avant garde and did an beautiful sculpted bust of Marie Antoinette, and then had a line of red icing across her throat. It might make a good scary cake for Halloween.

    Keep on reading and blogging!
