The Matchlock Gun

This was a short but adventurous book about Edward, a young boy of ten, and how he fires his great-grandfather's gun when the Indians attack his home. As a historical fiction book, this story reminded me of Laura Ingalls Wilder's Farmer Boy because Edward is so much like Almanzo. I recommend this book to anyone who would like to get a good adventurous story out of a short book. When I say short I mean SHORT, I started this four hours ago. Another pink title!
