Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH

Maria Salvadore told me that a good book stands up to lots of readings, and this is proof of that! I just finished reading Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH for the third time, this time as a school assignment. I particularly enjoy the imaginative plot of this book, the way it created a whole new world was similar to The Twenty-One Balloons. This book would appeal to both kids (and adults) who like adventure stories and/or science fiction, this appeal to a wide range of kids is part of what makes it a great book to read in a classroom. I enjoyed thinking about how smart these rats (and the two surviving mice) were, even though I absolutely despise rodents!!!
