The Twenty-One Balloons

This is a bit of an oddball book, it is not quiet fantasy, and not science fiction. Also, unlike most Newbery's the main character is an adult. I liked the sense of invention and that the inventions weren't as weird as those in most science fiction. I liked how the illustrations really added to the book, they were an important part of the story.
