Sounder

This was another book about a boy and his dog, but this book had the historical fiction touch and the perspective of  the boy being African American.  I found it odd that the only name mentioned in the book was Sounder, the name of the dog.  I liked this book because the boy had a real devotion to his dog.  It is worth reading even if you are not a boy or don't have a dog.
