The Voyages of Doctor Dolittle

Narrated by Tommy Stubbins, a young boy that starts the book at the age of nine and a half, this book is about the adventures of the great naturalist Doctor Dolittle and young Tommy. After convincing his parents that Doctor Dolittle could be trusted with Tommy, the Doctor and Tommy set off on a voyage to Spider Monkey Island in search of Long Arrow, the son of Golden Arrow and a lot of fun. After finding Long Arrow, the Doctor is, against his will, crowned King of Spider Monkey Island and the Indian tribe that lives upon the miraculous floating island. But once he is drawn into the duties of King-hood, he can't escape. What an adventures book.
