Only 1 left! :) This was an adventurous sea-fairing book. When my mom read this one, she had a crush on Nat (Mr. Bowditch). It tells the story of "Nathaniel Bowditch, the Harvard man that never set foot in a classroom". I liked this one a lot more than some of the other sea-fairing books (especially The Dark Frigate). Did anyone read it as a child? It seems like children and adults would like it equally.

I did not read this as a child, but as an adult. I did not know much about all the possible books there were to read when I was growing up. I am making up for lost time now and this is one of my favorites (I read it when I was in my 30's).
