Crispin: The Cross of Lead

Adventurous in a whole new way. Crispin is an orphan traveling to find his place in the world, and to avoid danger. It is similar to Adam of the Road. I liked it, but it was different from the ones I had already read at that point (I hadn't read Adam of the Road at that point). What did the adults think?

  3. I like Crispen better for modern readers. I felt like Adam was harder for my current students to read. I know they are both set in the middle ages, but Adam also has an old-fashioned writing style that my students have a hard time relating to. I didn't want Crispen to end.

  4. I just read this book and I LOVED it!!! (I love Avi's books!) I have heard there are more Crispin books. Do you know what they are called? If you have read any other ones, did you like them too?

  5. Jacy,
I also love Avi's books, and he was really nice when I met him. The other Crispin books are called: Crispin: At the Edge of the World and Crispin: The End of Time. I haven't read them yet, but if you do I hope that you like them!
