Northward to the Moon

I recently had a writing assignment at school to write showing my voice.  I wish I had read this book first because the author defiantly uses a strong voice.  The story is told by Jane, a young girl, from her point of view.  What I liked best was Jane's word choice; she sounds like a kid, but still uses great vocabulary.  The one problem with this book is the ending... it was just like the end of a chapter!  I think because it is a part of a series, but that is annoying because the next book is not out YET and now I have to wait.
