My Newbery Ranking

Readers have asked me which Newbery Winners I like best.  Last year I found the ranking done by the Allen County Library, and they even let me give input on where When You Reach Me fit.  I liked their list, but definitely have my own point of view.  So, I have finally ranked all the Newbery winners in MY order of preference.  Below are my top 20; I will post the rest separately.  The books that made my top 20 are all books I LOVE.  They are books that I think about even long after I read them and books that I like to read over and over.  When I look at the list it is a mix of types of books and of when they were written.  I think my list is a little girly, but I AM a 10 year old girl.  I think that almost anyone could find several books to LOVE in this top 20.
1. 1936: Caddie Woodlawn

2. 1967: Up A Road Slowly
3. 1934: Invincible Louisa
4. 2010: When You Reach Me

  2. Oh, the new blog look is super! Love the photo.

Congrats on coming up with a top 20 list. I find it so hard to rank books or to choose an absolute favorite.
