The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane

Another great book by Kate DiCamillo!  Kate is one of my favorite authors of all time because she can make all of her characters (even talking china dolls in the shape of rabbits) come to life in a way that makes them seem like they are sitting right next to me.  I was excited when I saw that The Tale of Despereaux: Being the Story of a Mouse, a Princess, Some Soup, and a Spool of Thread (at #22), Because of Winn Dixie (#15) and The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (#97) all made it onto the Top 100 list.  This story is about a rabbit called Edward Tulane that lives with different people that are somehow not perfect or troubled. This is one of the ways she makes him seem real to me.  Edward's heart grows throughout the story and he finds himself able to love even though, at the beginning, it seems he can't.  Like all of Ms. DiCamillo's books, I recommend this story to EVERY reader!!!
